Love the Lord your God with all our heart, all your mind, and with all your strength.

Jesus in Luke 10:27 explains how we are to love God with all our heart, all our mind or soul, and with all our strength.

We know that we are created in the image of God, and God is spirit. We are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body. Jesus tells us here: love your God. He does not say “serve” your God, however, we know that this love will lead us, therefore, to serve Him also with all our heart.

In reading the story of Moses in the Old Testament we can see how he entered into to God’s presence. When Moses went up mount Sinai, God spoke and gave revelation about what He had in His heart. God wanted to dwell amongst His people, He wanted to come and manifest Himself on earth, and it was not only a spiritual connection, he wished to make his dwelling among people, therefore, he gave Moses the blueprints for the tabernacle.

John 3:16 is a well known Bible verse which speaks of God’s love for the “world”. Delving a little deeper and looking for the meaning of the word “world” in the original language, I discovered that the word “world” comes from the word “cosmos”, that is, everything that has been created by God.
